Minimum Qualifying Marks for University of Sindh Admission
- General Programs: Minimum 30 marks out of 100 (30%) in Pre-Entry Test (PET) for admission eligibility
- LLB Program: Minimum 50 marks out of 100 (50%) in Law Admission Test (LAT) conducted by HEC Pakistan
- BE Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering: Minimum 33 marks out of 100 (33%) as per Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) policy framework

CPN = SSC Marks (10%) + HSC Marks (30%) + LAT Score (60%)
Merit Deduction Rules for Improvers and Repeaters
The following deductions apply to adjusted merit list calculations (does not alter actual academic division/grade):
- HSC Improvement Deduction: 5 marks will be deducted if a candidate appears for the second time in HSC examination to improve their division or grade
- Extra Years After Matriculation: If HSC examination is not cleared within the minimum required period after passing Matriculation, 5 marks shall be deducted per extra year or part thereof (maximum deduction: 25 marks)
- Bachelor Degree Delay: Same deduction rules apply if a candidate fails to clear Bachelor’s Degree examination within the minimum required period after Matriculation examination
- Gap Year Penalty: 5 marks per year shall be deducted from total marks if the candidate has not passed the pre-requisite examination in the preceding year
- Attempt Counting: Each additional year or part of a year beyond the minimum period is treated as a candidate’s attempt for deduction purposes, regardless of whether they actually appeared in the examination
